Went a few days ago (Tuesday for lunch). The place is beautifully decorated. The service is good; the waitress was super nice. We had a table near the windows; the place is in front of the beach, amazing views. The food was excellent; we had the fried shrimp, a salad, and the red snapper that was amazing! Also, they don't give you bread but muffins that I couldn't resist. Love the place; totally recommend.
My wife and I had an early dinner here on Monday, August 18 2025 while visiting the Vero Beach area. We'd eaten here twice before on previous trips to the area, but both times it was during "the season" and very crowded. This time, it was perfect and very quiet on a hot summer Monday night with almost no one in the bar or restaurant when we arrive shortly after it opened. We sat at a nice two person table that had a nice view of the Atlantic Ocean. The inside ambience here is somewhat old and rustic, but it's clean and super cozy feeling. I ordered the "Jake's Steak" (a 9 oz butterfly filet mignon) and my wife had a petite filet mignon. Both were perfectly cooked to our preferred temperatures. For desert, we shared their house creme brulee and it was outstanding. There is a reason this place has been a local favorite for over 50 years here on Vero Beach. It's an icon and a restaurant par excellence.
This place is truly wonderful it's elegant and unique, definitely not your average beachfront restaurant. My server, Maggie, was incredibly helpful and quick to bring my meal. I'm really looking forward to returning soon!
Used to come here with my Parents as a kid, have been wanting to visit again and finally got the chance. Everything was amazing. The food was refreshing, the ambiance, having the clam chowder was just as good as before. The gift shop was amazing too. Can't wait to visit again soon!!
I came in to celebrate my 50th birthday last night with my 12 year old and 15 year old sons. My youngest had gotten too much sun on our first day at the beach and had a terrible headache. Our server, Jill, got his food order in right away and thankfully had some advil. I was so grateful! My concerns of having to box up our meal quickly went away as he perked up. I had the mahi and we all enjoyed the bubbling crab dip. The mix of families and tables of adults dinning together made us feel at ease. We were able to walk right in and be seated immediately. The host staff was pleasant and helpful. I spoke to the manager and let her know we really appreciated Jill’s kindness and attentive service. I didn’t catch her name but she was friendly and grateful for the positive feedback. This was our first time at Ocean Grill but we plan to make it a regular stop when we are in town from Atlanta again.We bought a Christmas ornament, as is our tradition wherever we travel, and some other fun items in the gift shop.
This was our first stop upon arrival to vero. The valet parking attendant was very helpful and super funny. The inside is gorgeous with lots to look at. A very nice atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. The service and staff were top notch. We didn’t sit near the window but could still see the ocean view. Perfect location for walking downtown afterwards and enjoying the beach. Highly recommend

From the moment we walked in, this restaurant delivered an experience that felt truly unique. The Gothic atmosphere, rich history, and location near the shore created an unforgettable setting that made dinner feel special. The food was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with care—every dish felt like an experience of its own. Julie, our server, was kind, knowledgeable, funny, and gave excellent recommendations that made the night even better. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality, ambiance, and overall experience made it worth every penny. I’d absolutely come back again.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was a perfection . The place is pleasant and clean. I love the view . New England clam chowder tastes wonderful as our appetizer .We had the best and flavorful fried grouper served with fresh salad , steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes and with my pecan rice . We also have the delicious brownie sundae and crème brûlée among all other yummy desserts.Our server is very nice , attentive and quick . We will come back for sure .
We would definitely return for a delicious dinner. Appears people want to dress for a night out and reservations are recommended for over five. Since there were only two of us, we could reserve our table at 4:45 for 5:30 reservation in person. Reservations for less than 4 are not taken until 4:00 or after. Food was great. The back bar was nice to hang out until 5:30 when the hostess let us know it was our time. Genevieve in the back bar was delightful and personable. Highly recommend but be prepared to schedule your time ahead.
